Three wins from three matches at the Kensington Oval has all but qualified the Barbados Tridents for the semi-finals of the Limacol CPL Series.
But nobody could have predicted the circumstances that produced the bizarre third win on Saturday night which saw 16 wickets fall for 105 and a Twenty20 match that was over in barely 20 overs! The Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel batsmen self-destructed to the gentle spin of Shakib Al Hasan (6-6) and were bowled out for only 52. It should have been a doddle in the park for the Tridents but the fiery Fidel Edwards thought otherwise and in a magnificent display of fast bowling(5-22) he gave everyone the jitters until Barbados scraped home by four wickets.
Who said thrillers only happened in high scoring games?
