England finally came good with a slender five runs victory in the third and final Twenty20 match at the Kensington Oval on Thursday. The match had a sensational finish as the Windies chased 166 to win as it looked mathematically impossible when they needed seven runs off the last ball, but Jade Dernbach then bowled a wide and allowed Tuesday’s hero Darren Sammy one chance to hit a winning six. The final ball was just as wide but amazingly in his exuberance to blast the ball over the boundary big Darren got a bottom edge onto the ball and made it legitimate!
There was another large crowd in attendance and both teams now leave for Bangladesh to participate in warm-up games for the Twenty20 World Cup in two weeks time.
