For the first time ever, the Concours de Dressage International (CDI) was hosted in Barbado on 27th and 28th April 2019, which allowed Roberta Foster to qualify for the 2019 Pan American Games to be held in Peru
Foster brought in a personal equestrian trainer, Dutch Grand Prix rider, Jan Brons, to help her train for this event and her efforts certainly paid off as she gained 69.755 per cent at the Prix St. George level and 69.265 per cent at the Intermediate one level to qualify for the Pan Am Games with a combined score of over 69 per cent. Foster, who is no stranger to the Pan am Games having been to her first in Canada in 1999 and several Games since this time, will head to the USA to continue her intense training regime for a couple of month before heading to Lima, Peru in late July to represent Barbados.
