Duke of Edinburgh Golf Cup to be played at Royal Westmoreland 16 March 2013 compliments the DOE Foundation in Barbados.
Dr Trevor Carmichael and The Duke Of Edinburgh Foundation in Barbados is seeking your support in playing or organizing a group of four to play in the upcoming Duke of Edinburgh Golf Cup, to be held at Royal Westmoreland Golf Course Barbados on Saturday, 16 March 2013, on the occasion of a visit to Barbados by his Lord Paul Boateng, an International Trustee of the Duke of Edinburgh Award International Association and a member of Her Majesty’s House of Lords. This golf event is part of the Duke of Edinburgh Cup World Amateur Golf Series. The cost to field a group of four persons is a minimum contribution of BDS$6,000.00 I attach more information on the rules and related information. On 16 March 2013 golfers will tee off at 1.00 pm in a shot gun start and there will be a dinner and entertainment at the Royal Pavilion Hotel commencing at 7.00 pm. Your spouse/partner is invited to the dinner. Over dinner there will be a cultural presentation, stilt men, etc and music. The winners will be announced over dinner and the Crystal trophies for the winner and runner will be presented by Lord Boateng.
The Winner and Runner up (either male or female) will be invited to an expense paid trip to the Duke of Edinburgh Cup 2013 World Finals in England to be held from 15th to 19th Sept with dinner at Windsor Castle on 19th Sept. Details of qualifiers expenses covered by the charity are as follows:

The 36 hole World Final for The Duke of Edinburgh Cup held over two days at Moor Park Golf Club and Mill Ride Golf Club.
A match at the Royal Household Golf Club in the grounds of Windsor Castle
Royal Champagne Reception and Prize Giving Dinner in the State apartments of Windsor Castle, a senior member of the Royal Family will attend this, and all contestants and guests will be introduced.
Qualifiers may invite a partner / guest. The partner / guest must arrange and pay for their own flights, and at their own cost they can attend all the functions, (including the Royal Reception and Prize Giving Dinner in Windsor Castle), and the first two days of golf.
They will be able to share hotel accommodation with the qualifiers free of charge.
