Proud owner of St Nicholas Abbey, Larry Warren with his son Simon, accepting the Saddle Cloth and Head Collar of the Breeder's Cup 2011 winner St Nicholas Abbey from Derrick Smith, his wife Gaye Smith, champion trainer Aiden O'Brien and champion jockey, the youngest ever to win the race at 18 years old, Joseph O'Brien. Mr Smith shares ownership of the magnificent race horse with Susan Magnier and Michael Tabor, who are also partners in Sandy Lane Hotel on the island.It was a proud moment for all and especially for Barbados, ably said by Gregory Armstrong, Sports Manager of the Barbados Tourism Authority(far right). Mr Warren has a special pride of place for the treasured pieces in the Abbey, open to visitors as a Heritage Site and Rum Distillery.
