Reigning Seaboard Marine Caribbean Motor Racing Champion Doug Gore is urging island fans to head for Bushy Park Circuit in St Philip tomorrow (Saturday) for what he predicts will be some "serious, serious racing", as the 2014/15 season kicks off with the first of three CMRC races slated for the end of the day's packed programme.

Victory in the Sol Go Even Further June Safari last weekend (June 28/29) has propelled Leslie Alleyne back to the top of the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) Roll of Honour for its oldest event, run for the 58th consecutive year. Next month's Digicel Williams International Race Meet (July 5/6) in Barbados has attracted a record entry of regional competitors on two and four wheels, eager to play their part in a moment of Caribbean motor sport history, as the redeveloped Bushy Park Circuit hosts the opening rounds of the Seaboard Marine Caribbean Motor Racing

After a two-month break from competition, crews competing in the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) 2014 Chefette MudDogs Safari Championship are making plans for their toughest challenge of the season. The Sol Go Even Further June Safari is scheduled for June 28/29, when the BRC will mark the 58th running of the Caribbean’s oldest motor sport event

  Barbados rugby received a huge boost yesterday with the announcement of a
major sponsorship with Intimate Hotels of Barbados. The sponsorship will
support Barbados Sevens Rugby which is about to enter its most exciting
period ever with participation in a number of international events including
the Commonwealth

With five rounds run and just three to go, Daryl Clarke and Rhett Watson are now joint leaders in the battle to become Barbados Rally Club (BRC) Champion Driver for 2014. With only eight points covering the top six drivers, however, the championship is still wide open, and with the year-end dropped score rule yet to be taken into account.
