It was a bad day for the Barbados rugby team at the Garrison on Saturday when the visiting Trinidad and Tobago team ended their hopes of World Cup qualification. The local guys had a great first half against the wind and they looked like they were going to reduce the deficit and go on to win the game but unfortunately they ran out of steam

The crew of the Benneteau 10M "Ninja", lead by Michael Worme, came first overall in the CSA 3 class. Racing in memory of Captain Shane Atwell the young crew won all five races with a boat that had spent the last five years landlocked. Easily spotted

Today is the final day of racing in the Mount Gay Barbados Regatta, with up to three races scheduled. In the J24 class "Fully Covered" just needs three decent results to hang on to first place overall. Meanwhile, the big boats in the CSA Simplified class have a real fight on their hands. The 28th Barbados Mount Gay Regatta officially got underway tonight at the Barbados Yacht Club. Skippers from Martinique, Trinidad and Tobago, BVI joined locals in preparation for what promises to be a terrific three days of sailing.
