Banks moves to Spartan
The Bank's International Hockey Festival bullies off on Sunday and promises
to be another week of sport, revelry and party, not necessarily in that
order! The move to the Queen's Park Oval as the focal point of the Festival
is due to the continuing unavailability of the Astroturf and the high cost
of playing at the Kensington Oval. Unfortunately this has affected the
overseas entries and if Barbados Tourism chiefs are serious about sports
tourism they need to help the Hockey Association get the Astroturf back into
operation immediately.
