Barbadian squash sensation 16-year-old Meagan Best, the reigning Caribbean and National senior women’s champion is a recipient of the 2018-2019 US Squash All-American award. Best is currently enrolled at Choate Rosemary Hall high school in Wallingford, Connecticut, USA.
Junior squash athletes who play on high school scholastic squash teams or receive a national ranking in the U17 or U19 divisions in addition to other criteria, are eligible for recognition. All-Americans represent the highest level of competitive excellence in high school squash and are chosen based on in-season and championship play.
Best created history in December 2017 when she became the first squash player from the Caribbean to win a US Junior Open title when she captured the Girls’ U17 title. She recently won the 2018 Junior Female Athlete of the Year award at both the Barbados Olympic Association Inc.’s and the National Sports Council’s annual Awards ceremony.
